Gluten Free Christmas Candy
It’s no secret that during the Holidays we eat way more candy and treats than usual! So I think now is the perfect time to share the recipes for gluten free xmas candy! I’ve talked about some of these before, but they’re delicious so I’m talking about them again!
One of my favorite things to make during the holidays is Peppermint Bark! It’s white Ghirardelli chocolate, dark Ghirardelli chocolate, mixed with peppermint extract and topped with crushed candy canes. It’s so delicious! Plus, it’s just a fun easy festive dessert to make! You can find the recipe here!
I’m also sharing this recipe for gluten free gingerbread men! I know Gingerbread Men aren’t technically candy – at all actually. But, I just feel like it’s a fun thing to make during the Holidays! I also found this recipe for gluten free Christmas crack! It’s a GF cracker mixed with a sweet caramel mixture and chocolate. I just found this recipe while writing this post so I’ll definitely be making these soon!
Next, I’m sharing my gluten free peppermint fudge recipe! But beware, it’s addictive! This soft, chewy, peppermint-y fudge is so delicious. The recipe makes a large amount too, which is perfect cause it’s a good gift to give to friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances – you name it!
You can find the recipe here!
And last but not least, candy canes. The most classic Christmas candy of all time.
Are Candy Canes Gluten Free?
Mostly, yes. While there aren’t any certified gluten free candy canes on the market yet there are several brands out there [Brach’s, Bob’s, Jelly Belly, Starburst, Lifesavers) that contain no gluten ingredients and are processed in facilities that don’t process gluten-containing items.
I personally use Brach’s just because I think they’re the best tasting candy canes. I use them in my gluten free christmas candy recipes and have never had a problem. But, just in case always be sure to read the label on any candy canes and look for gluten containing ingredients before you use them in your recipes!
So there you go! There are some of my favorite gluten free christmas candy recipes. I hope you give some of these a try during the holiday season and share with your loved ones. Happy Holidays!
