Most people believe that brussel sprouts taste bitter. But mostly it’s how they’re cooked, and when done correctly they’re delicious! I’m sharing with you one of my favorite ways to make gluten free roasted brussel sprouts – and they always come out delicious!

Naturally, brussel sprouts are gluten free, because they’re a vegetable. They’re in the same family as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, and collard greens.
But, if brussel sprouts are prepared in certain ways, they will no longer be gluten friendly. Like, if they’re cooked with certain spices or oils. But this recipe is 100% gluten free, vegan, and easy!
What Do Brussel Sprouts Taste Like?

What Can I Eat These Roasted Brussel Sprouts With?
These gf roasted brussel sprouts literally go with everything. That’s why I love this recipe so much, and make it so often. I cook these regularly. I eat them with chicken [cooked many different ways], rice, fish, pork, beef – you really can’t go wrong. It’s an easy side dish to whip up last minute!
Gluten Free Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Equipment
- 9×11 roasting pan
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Brussel Sprouts
- 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Minced Garlic
- 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375º
- Cut off stem of brussel sprouts – throw stems away
- Then cut the brussel sprouts in half, or quarters [depending on their size]
- Throw all the cut brussel sprouts in a large mixing bowl with all the ingredients and mix together1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2 tsp Minced Garlic, 1/4 tsp Sea Salt, 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
- Spread the brussel sprouts in your 9×11 pan and lay them all flat
- Cook in the oven for 20 minute at 375º [I like to mix them around with a spatula about half way through so they all roast evenly]
- Enjoy!
