Buffalo Chicken Dip has been popular for years, it’s always a staple for Super Bowl parties, bar food, or family get togethers. This gluten free buffalo chick dip recipe is very similar to the classic Frank’s Buffalo Chicken Dip that we all know and love.
I’ve used Frank’s hot sauce plenty of times and have never had any issue, but it is not labeled Gluten Free. Their website does say that it contains no gluten ingredients though. Just like I use in my buffalo chicken stuffed peppers recipe, I use Primal Kitchen’s Buffalo Sauce just to be safe. It’s sugar free, keto friendly, paleo friendly, and gluten free!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken – Using rotisserie chicken to save time, it doesn’t get any easier than this one!
- 1 package [8 ounces] cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup Primal Kitchen Buffalo Sauce
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt is used here to make this dip as creamy as can be! It has a similar taste to sour cream, but it’s a healthier alternative.
- 3/4 cup of cheddar cheese for the top

Notes
What Do I Serve With This Dip?
I think Tortilla Chips is the best thing to serve with this gluten free buffalo chicken dip. But, other good sides to serve are celery sticks, carrot sticks, cucumber slices, broccoli, gluten free crackers, and bell pepper strips.
I like to use Late July Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips, I’m linking them below. But, you can also find them at your local grocery store!
[I like to use Glutino or Crunch Master Gluten Free Crackers.]
Tips For This Recipe
You can use different types of cheeses if you prefer. You can also add blue cheese crumbles to the top, or mix blue cheese in the mixture as well. Fun Fact- I hate blue cheese, so I want nothing to do with it. But, I know lots of people love it and prefer it in their chicken dip!
You can also spread chopped green onions across the top of this once it’s cooked and ready to serve!
Quickly soften cream cheese by microwaving it for 20-25 seconds.
Prepare the dip up to 48 hours ahead of time and bake when your guests arrive. Add a few minutes to the cooking time.
How long is buffalo chicken dip good for in the refrigerator?
I would keep buffalo chicken dip in the refrigerator for about 3-5 days max in an air tight container. Just heat up in the microwave when you want a snack!
You can also buy shredded cheddar cheese if you don’t feel like adding this extra step, but I think it always tastes [and melts] better when you shred your own!
So, there’s all you need to know about how I make this gluten free buffalo chicken dip. It’s seriously addicting and delicious. It just reminds me of Sunday Football, I think it’s the perfect thing to serve as a snack or an appetizer on a cozy Fall day. I hope you give it a try and love it as much as we do!
