Line your 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan with parchment paper, lightly spray parchment paper with cooking spray
In a large glass bowl, melt stick of salted butter in microwave for 30-60 seconds [depending on the strength of your microwave]
add one bag of marshmallows to melted butter and heat up in the microwave for 1 minute [make sure to press marshmallows down as they will rise]
TIP- spray rubber spatula with a little bit of cooking spray before you start to stir melting marshmallows, it gets very sticky and this will keep it from sticking to your spatula
Remove from microwave and stir, then add your second bag of marshmallows, place back in microwave for another minute
remove from microwave and stir
add 1 tsp of vanilla extract to the mixture
add 12 oz. box [less 2 cups] of crispy rice cereal a little bit at a time, stirring as you go
add 2 cups of choco chimps [these taste exactly like cocoa puffs, this is my favorite part of this recipe]
once everything is completely mixed together, spread in your pan, and flatten with the back of a metal spoon [I also spray my spoon with a little cooking spray to prevent sticking]
pour half the bag of chocolate melting wafers into a small glass bowl and follow microwave instructions
once the chocolate is melted, drizzle all over the top of your rice krispie treats
refrigerate for 15 minutes
